Where We’re Working

A few friendly followers have recently reached out to comment on the many places we’ve bern going this summer. Yes, it is true that our team has been on the move, though it may not be as much as social media implies. Here, we’re sharing where our current projects actually are and the project management details that you don’t see on Instagram.

First, beyond the company’s NYC home base, we are currently sourcing art for clients in: Miami, FL; Los Angeles, CA; Menlo Park, CA; Aspen, CO; Minneapolis, MN; Chicago, IL; Birhimgham, MI; Westin, CT; Greenwich, CT, Southampton, NY; Stone Harbor, NJ; Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, Canada, and the list goes on. Yes, it’s a broad geographic range, but there is definitely not one person hopping around to these places on a weekly basis…in fact, our team’s greatest advantage is our 3-office structure. Plus, we have worked together to maximize our virtual operations.

Our three offices are in Brooklyn, Minneapolis and Toronto and together, we’re a team of seven people. Each of us have personal and professional networks that extend well beyond our local vicinity so inevitably many of the projects that we take on happen in and around our collective normal stomping grounds. With more projects happening in various areas of the country, we’re often able to batch visits, and then honestly, not share on social all at the same time just so we can get more mileage out of content! The result is that it’s (unintentionally) looking like we’re constantly on the road.

Further, seeing art and project sites in person is key, but in this virtual world, we’ve developed ways to effectively operate from afar when an in person experience is not possible every step of the way. We may, for example, collect elevation drawings and related data from a California client’s designer then only go on-site for the final installation.  During the course of the project, we’re recommending artwork in galleries local and nonlocal to the clients, providing images and videos, full condition reports for anything they can’t see in person, and recommending works that we (ie any one of our team members) has seen in person when we can’t be present for specific viewings.

Importantly, the client experience and our understanding of a space and client goals is always prioritized. By tapping into our collective team knowledge that spans three very different art markets, we’re able to ensure clients understand what an artwork is about, why it’s priced where it is, and know what they’re buying for projects near and far.

Bonus question: where would we LOVE to do a project where we haven’t already done one? I’m going to say a modern lakeside lodge.
